Red Leaves Rice

Ingredients :

  1. Rice - 1 cup (250 gms)
  2. Water - 2 cups
  3. Red leaves - 2 cups
  4. Oil - 3 tspns
  5. Ghee - 1 tspn
  6. Salt - 2 tspns (to taste)
  7. Onions - 2 (chopped)
  8. Green chillis - 4 (sliced)
  9. Cardamom (Elaichi) - 3 pieces
  10. Cloves (Lavang) - 3 pieces
  11. Cinammon (Dalchini) - 3 small pieces
  12. Biriyani leaves - 2
  13. Jaji puvvu Flower - 3 small pieces
  14. Cashewnuts - 5 pieces

Procedure :-

  • Heat Pressure cooker and put oil and ghee in it .
  • Add cardamom,cloves,cinammon,biriyani leaf,jaji puvvu,chillis and fry and add cashew,onions and fry well and add Red leaves and fry well.
  • Add rice and fry for 3 minutes and add water,salt and let it cook for 5 minutes .
  • Then put the lid and put the Pressure on it.
  • After it is cooked serve it with raita .
